Nadine Hiemstra is the part-time Coordinator of Family Network Thames Valley. Nadine manages FNTV's communications, events, and liaises with other local agencies and provincial family networks, and is always happy to meet with individuals, caregivers, and families to hear from them about their specific areas of need and interest.
Nadine graduated from the University of Waterloo with a BA in Peace and Conflict Studies in 2013 and worked for three years as an Independent Facilitator with Bridges to Belonging in Waterloo Region, and for two years as Coordinator of Planned Lifetime Networks Waterloo Region. She is a sibling to a sister with Down syndrome and identifies her sister as the inspiration for her work and life. Nadine believes in the power of community and collaboration, and enjoys discovering the possibilities that open up when individuals and communities work together.
